New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Tameside’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

Tigellae At The Harewood, at Harewood Arms, 2 Market Street, Broadbottom, Tameside was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on June 29.

And Los Amigos Tapas, at 11 Ashton Road, Denton, Tameside was also given a score of five on June 28.

It means that of Tameside's 287 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 199 (69%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
