New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Tameside’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Tameside’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

Ultimate Fitness Ltd, at Phoenix Mill, Wagstaff Street, Stalybridge, Tameside was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on September 22.

And The Kitchen At St Michaels, at St Michaels Church, Church Street, Ashton-Under-Lyne, Tameside was also given a score of five on September 14.

It means that of Tameside's 289 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 199 (69%) have ratings of five and just three have zero ratings.
