New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Tameside’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Tameside’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Crunchy Chicken, at 269 Stockport Road, Ashton-Under-Lyne, Tameside was handed a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on October 17.

And Food Spot, at 85 Mottram Road, Stalybridge, Tameside was also given a score of three on October 17.

It means that of Tameside's 329 takeaways with ratings, 138 (42%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
