New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Tameside’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Admiral, at 41 Market Avenue, Ashton-Under-Lyne, Tameside was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 23.

And Shelly Beez Cafe, at 136 Droylsden Road, Audenshaw, Tameside was given a score of four on December 20.

It means that of Tameside's 290 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 200 (69%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
