New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Tameside’s pubs, bars or nightclubs, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Wheatsheaf Inn, at 41 Birch Lane, Dukinfield, Tameside was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on July 28.

And Flowery Field Cricket Club, at Flowery Field Cricket Club Changing Rooms, Throstle Bank Street, Hyde, Tameside was given a score of four on June 27.

It means that of Tameside's 243 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 178 (73%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
