And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are due to start this week:

M56, from 9pm December 8 to 6am December 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and Anticlockwise, junction 3 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

M60, from 9pm December 13 to 6am December 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J1 to J27 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

M60, from 9pm December 17 to 5am December 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 2 to junction 5 - carriageway closure for barriers.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
