Stockport's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Stockport's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

M60, from 9pm January 27 to 5am January 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 2 to junction 1 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

M60, from 8pm January 30 to 5am January 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise J24 to J25 - lane closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal on behalf of National Highways.

M60, from 9pm January 31 to 5am February 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 27 to junction 25 - lane closure switching for litter clearance.

M60, from 9pm February 1 to 6am March 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 24 to two - lane closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal on behalf of National Highways.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
