Road closures: three for Stockport drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Stockport will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• M60, from 8am to 5pm on October 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 3 to junction 3 - hard shoulder only for electrical works.

• M60, from 9pm October 17 to 5am October 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions J25 to J24 - lane closure for structure - maintenance.

• M60, from 8.30pm October 25 to 5am October 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 2 to 25 - lane closure for communications on behalf of National Highways.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
