Road closures: six for Stockport drivers this week

Drivers in and around Stockport will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And five of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M60, from 9pm October 17 to 6am October 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J1 to J24 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

And a further five closures will begin over the next seven days:

M56, from 9pm October 19 to 5am October 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 1 to junction 3 - carriageway closure for Horticulture (Cutting and Planting).

M60, from 9pm October 20 to 6am October 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J1 to J25 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

M56, from 9pm October 21 to 5am October 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 5 to junction 3 - carriageway closure for Horticulture (Cutting and Planting).

M60, from 8pm October 24 to 6am October 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise J26 to J1 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

M60, from 9pm October 24 to 5am November 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and Anticlockwise, junction 1 slip road closures due to resurfacing works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
