Road closures: six for Stockport drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Stockport will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that six closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• M60, from 8pm October 9 to 6am October 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 both directions J23 to J25 - lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M60, from 9pm October 11 to 5am October 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 26 lane closure due to maintenance works.

• A5103, from 9pm October 11 to 5am October 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M56 eastbound and westbound, junction 4 to junction 1 - carriageway closure for Horticulture (Cutting and Planting).

• M60, from 8pm October 12 to 5am October 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J27 to J2 - lane closure for communications.

• M60, from 9pm October 13 to 5am October 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 3 to junction 3 - carriageway closure for electrical works.

• M60, from 8am to 5pm on October 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 3 to junction 3 - hard shoulder only for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
