Road closures: four for Stockport drivers this week

Drivers in and around Stockport will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M56, from 8pm February 10 to 6am February 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 2 to junction 4 - lane closure for barrier works.

And a further three closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M60, from 8.30pm February 15 to 5am February 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anticlockwise jct one - 24 lane closures and carriageway closures due to maintenance works.

• M60, from 8pm February 20 to 5am February 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 27 - carriageway closure for structure - maintenance.

• M60, from 8pm February 21 to 5am February 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anticlockwise jct two - one lane closures due to electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
