Road closures: four for Stockport drivers this week

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures are due to start this week:

M60, from 8.30pm September 20 to 5am September 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise and Anticlockwise, junction 27 - two lane closures due to maintenance works.

M60, from 8.30pm September 22 to 5am September 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise and Anticlockwise, junction 2 to 5 lane closures and carriageway closure due to general maintenance works.

M60, from 8pm October 1 to 5am October 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anticlockwise, junction 27 exit slip Lane one closure due to repair of Pedestrian Hand Rail.

M56, from 9pm October 3 to 6am October 8, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 1 to junction 4 - carriageway closure for drainage.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
