Road closures: four for Stockport drivers this week

Drivers in and around Stockport will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M60, from 8pm July 3 to 6am July 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 Anticlockwise, junction 1 - 27 lane closures and slip road closure due to inspections.

M60, from 9pm April 20 to 5am August 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise one to 25 - carriageway closure for Structure - maintenance.

And a further two closures will begin over the next seven days:

M60, from 8pm July 13 to 6am July 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 2 to 3 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

M60, from 8pm July 16 to 6am July 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 1 to 24 - Lane closures and carriageway closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
