Road closures: four for Stockport drivers this week

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M60, from 9pm March 1 to 6am May 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise A34 J3 to M60 CW and ACW - carriageway closure for barriers.

M60, from 5am April 20 to 5am May 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 3 - Lane closure for barriers - Permanent.

M60, from 9pm April 20 to 5am August 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise one to 25 - carriageway closure for Structure - maintenance.

And one more closure will begin over the next seven days:

M60, from 8pm May 19 to 5am May 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise 24 - 26 lane closures and mainline closures due to resurfacing.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
