Road closures: five for Stockport drivers this week

Drivers in and around Stockport will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M60, from 9pm July 28 to 5am August 8, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 25 to junction 24 - Lane closure for drainage.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

M60, from 9.30am August 8 to 3.30pm August 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise and Anticlockwise to A34 southbound, lane closure due to maintenance works.

M60, from 8pm August 8 to 6am August 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 24 - 27 lane closures due to electrical works.

M56, from 8.30pm August 8 to 6am August 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anticlockwise, junction 4 to 26 lane closures and slip road closures due to maintenance.

M60, from 9pm August 9 to 6am August 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 5 to 1 - Lane closures and carriageway closures for drainage.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
