Good news as food hygiene ratings given to 10 Stockport establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 10 of Stockport’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to four restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Marple Cricket & Squash Club at Marple Cricket And Squash Club, Bowden Lane, Marple, Stockport; rated on August 14

• Rated 5: Golden Hind at Lisburne Lane, Offerton, Stockport; rated on August 6

• Rated 5: All Things Nice at 48-50 Market Street, Marple, Stockport; rated on August 5

• Rated 5: Crown at The Crown, 1 Hawk Green Road, Marple, Stockport; rated on August 5

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And three ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:

• Rated 5: Raising The Bar at 458 Chester Road, Woodford, Stockport; rated on August 14

• Rated 5: The Horse Shoe at 1 Buxton Road, High Lane, Stockport; rated on August 11

• Rated 5: The Bulls Head Marple at The Bulls Head, 23 Market Street, Marple, Stockport; rated on August 5
