New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Stockport’s pubs, bars or nightclubs, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

The Rising Sun, at Rising Sun Inn, 57 Stockport Road East, Bredbury, Stockport was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on June 6.

And The Shady Oak, at Redford Drive, Bramhall, Stockport was also given a score of four on June 6.

It means that of Stockport's 172 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 117 (68%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
