Salford road closures: six for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Salford's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Salford's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And four of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M60, from 9pm April 11 to 6am August 26, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 both directions M60 to M61 J3 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M60, from 9pm August 15 to 6am August 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J13 to J10 - lane closure for construction - bridge/structure.

M61, from 9pm August 16 to 5am August 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 northbound, jct three to 4 lane closures due to maintenance works.

M60, from 9pm August 18 to 5am August 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 11 to M602, junction 2 - lane closure for drainage.

M602, from 9pm August 20 to 5am September 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M602 westbound, Total closure, junction 3 to, junction 2 - carriageway closure for electrical works.

M60, from 8pm August 21 to 6am August 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J13 to J10 - lane closure for construction - bridge/structure.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
