Salford road closures: more than a dozen for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Salford's motorists will have 19 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And eight of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that 19 closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• M60, from 8pm October 30 to 6am November 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 both directions Kearsley to M61/M60 - carriageway closure for structure - maintenance.

• M60, from 8pm October 30 to 6am November 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 15 to junction 15 - carriageway closure for electrical works.

• M60, from 8.30pm October 31 to 5am November 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 9 to junction 13 - carriageway closure for communications.

• M60, from 11pm November 1 to 5am November 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise J14 entry slip road closure closure for structure - maintenance.

• M60, from 11pm November 1 to 6am November 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise J9 to J11 - lane closure for construction - bridge/structure.

• M60, from 8pm November 2 to 5am November 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 southbound, J3 to J1 - lane closure for structure - maintenance.

• M60, from 11.59pm November 4 to 5am November 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 11 to M602, junction 2 - lane closure for drainage.

• M60, from 8pm November 6 to 5am November 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 Anticlockwise, junction 13 exit slip road Lane two closure due to works on Worsley Brow Roundabout for Salford Council.

• M60, from 8pm November 6 to 6am November 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 southbound, junction 3 to M60 clockwise - carriageway closure for electrical works.

• M60, from 9pm November 6 to 5am November 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 11 to 10 - lane closure and slip road closure for maintenance works.

• M61, from 9.30am to 3.30pm on November 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 southbound, link road to A580 eastbound, Lane one closure due to works by Salford Council on the A580.

• M602, from 8pm November 7 to 6am November 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M602 westbound, J2 to J1 - lane closure for communications.

• M60, from 11pm November 7 to 6am November 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise J9 to J11 - lane closure for construction - bridge/structure.

• M62, from 9pm November 8 to 5am November 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 11 -12 lane closures for drainage.

• M60, from 11pm November 8 to 6am November 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise J9 to J11 - lane closure for construction - bridge/structure.

• M62, from 9pm November 9 to 5am November 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 12 to 11 - Lane closure for drainage.

• M60, from 9pm November 10 to 5am November 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 11 to 12 - lane closure and slip road closures for maintenance works.

• M60, from 9pm November 11 to 5am November 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 12 to 11 - lane closures and slip road closures for maintenance works.

• M60, from 8pm November 13 to 6am November 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 southbound, junction 2 to M60 clockwise - carriageway closure for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
