Salford road closures: more than a dozen for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Salford's motorists will have 14 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And eight of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M60, from 8pm October 8 to 6am October 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 both directions J13 to J17 - lane closure for electrical works.

• M60, from 8pm October 19 to 5am October 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise J14 entry - carriageway closure for structure - maintenance.

And a further 12 closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M60, from 8pm October 23 to 6am October 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 14 to junction 14 - carriageway closure for electrical works.

• M60, from 8pm October 23 to 6am October 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J13 to J10 - lane closure for construction - bridge/structure.

• M60, from 8pm October 23 to 6am October 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 14 to junction 14 - carriageway closure for electrical works.

• M60, from 8pm October 25 to 6am October 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 both directions M60 to Kearsley - carriageway closure for structure - maintenance.

• M60, from 11pm October 26 to 4am October 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anticlockwise, junction 10 exit slip road Lane four closure due to works on Redclyffe Circle by TfGM.

• M60, from 8pm October 30 to 6am November 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 both directions Kearsley to M61/M60 - carriageway closure for structure - maintenance.

• M60, from 8pm October 30 to 6am November 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 15 to junction 15 - carriageway closure for electrical works.

• M60, from 11pm November 1 to 6am November 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise J9 to J11 - lane closure for construction - bridge/structure.

• M60, from 8pm November 2 to 5am November 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 southbound, J3 to J1 - lane closure for structure - maintenance.

• M60, from 11.59pm November 4 to 5am November 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 11 to M602, junction 2 - lane closure for drainage.

• M60, from 8pm November 6 to 6am November 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 southbound, junction 3 to M60 clockwise - carriageway closure for electrical works.

• M60, from 9pm November 6 to 5am November 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 11 to 10 - lane closure and slip road closure for maintenance works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
