Salford road closures: more than a dozen for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Salford's motorists will have 13 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And nine of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M60, from 8.30pm July 29 to 5am July 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anticlockwise jct nine - 14 lane closures and carriageway closures due to maintenance works.

• M60, from 9pm June 19 to 6am August 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions J15 to J13 - carriageway closure for electrical works.

• M60, from 9pm April 11 to 6am August 26, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 both directions M60 to M61 J3 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

And a further 10 closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M60, from 8.30pm July 31 to 5am August 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anticlockwise jct 12 - 14 lane closures and carriageway closures due to maintenance works.

• M60, from 9pm July 31 to 6am August 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, J11 to J12 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

• M60, from 8.30pm August 2 to 5am August 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 9 to junction 15 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

• M60, from 8pm August 3 to 5am August 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 13 to junction 12 - Lane closure for Structure - maintenance.

• M60, from 8.30pm August 4 to 5am August 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 15 to junction 13 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

• M60, from 8.30pm August 6 to 5am August 8, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 14 to junction 17 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

• M60, from 9.30am to 3.30pm on August 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 16 narrow lanes due to maintenance works.

• M61, from 8pm August 7 to 6am August 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 southbound, J5 to J3 - lane closure for communications.

• M60, from 8.30pm August 8 to 5am August 10, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 18 to junction 13 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

• M602, from 8pm August 10 to 6am August 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M602 westbound, J2 to J1 - lane closure for communications.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
