Salford road closures: eight for motorists to avoid this week

Salford's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And five of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M60, from 11pm November 13 to 5am November 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 17 to junction 16 - carriageway closure for Horticulture (Cutting and Planting).

• M60, from 9pm November 7 to 5am November 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise J11 to J11 - carriageway closure for drainage.

• M60, from 9pm November 1 to 6am December 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A580 eastbound and westbound, M61 northbound and southbound, junction 1 to 3, M60 clockwise and Anticlockwise, junction 14 to 16 due to electrical works.

And a further five closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A556, from 8pm November 14 to 6am November 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M56 eastbound, junction 10 to junction 6 - carriageway closure for Electrical works.

• M60, from 8.30pm November 14 to 5am November 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 16 to junction 15 - Lane closure for barriers.

• M60, from 11pm November 14 to 5am November 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 13 to junction 12 - Lane closure for Structure - maintenance.

• M60, from 11pm November 15 to 5am November 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise J13 to J15 - Lane closure for Structure - maintenance.

• M60, from 9pm November 18 to 6am November 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 15 - 17 lane closures and slip road closure due to resurfacing.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
