Salford road closures: eight for motorists to avoid this week

Salford's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And seven of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M60, from 9pm October 1 to 6am November 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A580 eastbound and westbound, M61 northbound and southbound, junction 1 to 3, M60 clockwise and Anticlockwise, junction 14 to 16, - Lane closure for Electrical works.

And a further seven closures will begin over the next seven days:

M60, from 9pm October 19 to 6am October 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise A580 to to M60 CW - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

M60, from 12.45am to 6am on October 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise J15 to J15 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

M62, from 8pm October 24 to 5am October 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, J12 to J11 - Lane closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

M60, from 9pm October 25 to 6am October 29, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and Anticlockwise J13 to J15 - Lane closure for drainage.

A556, from 8pm October 26 to 6am October 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M56 eastbound, junction 10 to junction 6 - carriageway closure for Electrical works.

M60, from 10pm October 29 to 5.30am October 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 8 - 11 lane closure and closure of slips due to general maintenance works.

M60, from 11pm October 31 to 5.30am November 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 9 to 12 lane closure and slip road closures due to general maintenance works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
