Salford road closures: dozens for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Salford's motorists will have 25 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And 12 of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M60, from 9pm February 17 to 5am February 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 southbound, junction 3 to junction 1 - carriageway closure for Horticulture.

• M60, from 9pm February 10 to 5am February 26, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J14 to J13 - carriageway closure for structure - new/reconstruction on behalf of National Highways.

• M60, from 8pm December 11 2023 to 6am April 30 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M602 both directions, junction 1 to junction 3 - carriageway closure for signs - erection.

And a further 22 closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M60, from 8pm February 19 to 6am February 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A580 eastbound to M60 clockwise - carriageway closure for electrical works on behalf of National Highways.

• M60, from 8.30pm February 19 to 5am February 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 southbound, junction 3 to junction 2 - carriageway closure for communications on behalf of National Highways.

• M602, from 9pm February 19 to 5am February 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, 11 to 12 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

• M60, from 8pm February 20 to 5am February 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise J13 to J15 - Lane closure for Structure - maintenance.

• M602, from 8pm February 20 to 5am February 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M602 westbound, J1 to J3 - lane closure for barriers - permanent.

• M602, from 8pm February 21 to 6am February 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M602 eastbound, J1 to J3 - lane closure and carriageway for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

• M60, from 9pm February 21 to 6am February 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise jct 15 to jct 17 - lane closures for electrical works.

• M62, from 8pm February 22 to 5am February 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 both directions J11 to J12 - lane closure for barriers - permanent.

• M60, from 9pm February 22 to 6am February 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise jct 13 to jct 14 lane closures for electrical works.

• M60, from 8pm February 23 to 5am February 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J12 to J11 - lane closure for structure - maintenance on behalf of National Highways.

• M60, from 8pm February 26 to 6am March 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A580 eastbound to M60 clockwise - carriageway closure for electrical works on behalf of National Highways.

• M61, from 8pm February 26 to 6am February 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 both directions A580 to J4 - lane closure for communications.

• M60, from 9pm February 26 to 5am March 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise J12 to J13 - carriageway closure for structure - new/reconstruction.

• M62, from 8pm February 27 to 6am February 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, J11 to J12 - lane closure for signs - erection.

• M60, from 8pm February 28 to 6am February 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J16 to J13 - lane closure for structure - maintenance.

• M61, from 8pm February 28 to 5am March 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 northbound, J3 to J4 - lane closure for inspection/survey on behalf of National Highways.

• M62, from 8pm February 29 to 6am March 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, J11 to J12 - lane closure for signs - erection on behalf of National Highways.

• M602, from 9pm March 1 to 5am March 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M602 westbound, junction 2 to junction 1 - lane closure for barriers - permanent.

• M60, from 9pm March 2 to 5am March 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 15 to junction 15 - carriageway closure for Horticulture (Cutting and Planting).

• M60, from 9pm March 3 to 6am April 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M602 both directions J1 to J3 - lane closure for drainage on behalf of National Highways.

• M60, from 8pm March 4 to 6am March 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A580 eastbound to M60 clockwise - carriageway closure for electrical works on behalf of National Highways.

• M602, from 8pm March 4 to 5am March 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M602 westbound, J1 to J2 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
