Salford road closures: almost a dozen for motorists to avoid this week

Salford's motorists will have 10 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And four of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M602, from 9pm June 30 to 5am July 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M602 eastbound and westbound, junction 2 to M62 - Lane closure for Electrical works.

M60, from 8pm June 6 to 5am July 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 Anticlockwise, junction 15 - 13 narrow lanes and hard shoulder running due to barrier works.

M60, from 9pm July 1 to 5am July 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A580 westbound to M61 northbound, lane closures and carriageway closures due to electrical works.

M60, from 8pm June 2 to 5.30am August 26, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 14 to 15 - Lane closures and carriageway closures for barriers - Permanent.

M60, from 8.30am July 24 2018 to 6am December 31 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A580 eastbound to M60 clockwise, lane two closed, due to safety.

And a further five closures will begin over the next seven days:

M61, from 10pm July 16 to 10am July 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61, junction 3 - A666 northbound and southbound, carriageway closure due to maintenance works.

M60, from 9pm July 17 to 5am July 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 9 to junction 10 - Lane closure for communications.

M60, from 9pm July 17 to 5am July 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 Anticlockwise, junction 15 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

M60, from 9pm July 18 to 3am July 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 Clock and anticlockwise J13 to J17 - No traffic Management required - Rolling Roadblock being arranged with Police.

M62, from 8pm July 19 to 5am July 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 12 to 10 - Lane closure for communications.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
