Salford road closures: a dozen for motorists to avoid this week

Salford's motorists will have 12 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And eight of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M60, from 9pm February 1 to 5am April 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 11 to 12, M602, junction 2 to 1, M60 clockwise and Anticlockwise, junction 11 to 13, - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

• M60, from 9pm April 4 to 5am April 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A580 eastbound and westbound to M61 northbound, junction 1 - Lane closure for Electrical works.

• M60, from 9pm March 14 to 7am April 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 southbound, junction 3 - 0 lane closures and carriageway closure due to resurfacing.

• M60, from 8.30am July 24 2018 to 6am December 31 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A580 eastbound to M60 clockwise, lane two closed, due to safety.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M60, from 8pm April 19 to 6am April 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 11 - 12 - carriageway closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

• M60, from 9pm April 20 to 5am May 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M602 eastbound and westbound, j1 to j1 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

• M602, from 10pm April 20 to 5am April 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M602 eastbound, junction 2 to 3 lane closure and carriageway closure due to communication works.

• M60, from 8.30pm April 21 to 5am April 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 Clock and anticlockwise, junction 13 - 17 Lane closures due to general maintenance works.

• M62, from 10pm April 22 to 5am April 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, J12 - Eccles interchange to J10 - Croft interchange - Lane closure for communications.

• M61, from 10pm April 23 to 10am April 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61, junction 3 - A666 northbound and southbound, carriageway closure due to maintenance works.

• M60, from 8pm April 29 to 7am May 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 southbound, junction 3 lane closures and slip road closure due to resurfacing.

• M60, from 9pm May 1 to 5am June 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A580 eastbound and westbound, A580 to A580 - Lane closure for Electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
