Road closures: nine for Salford drivers this week

Drivers in and around Salford will have nine National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And five of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M60, from 9pm February 5 to 5am February 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 11 to junction 12 - Lane closure for drainage.

• M60, from 11pm January 9 to 5am February 8, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions J10 to J13 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

• M60, from 8pm January 23 to 6am February 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M602 both directions Manchester to Warrington - lane closure for electrical works.

And a further six closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M62, from 8pm February 8 to 6am February 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, J11 to J12 - lane closure for signs - erection.

• M60, from 9pm February 11 to 5am February 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J13 to J12 - lane closure for inspection/survey.

• A556, from 8pm February 13 to 6am March 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M56 eastbound, junction 9 to junction 5 - carriageway closure for Electrical works.

• M60, from 8pm February 14 to 6am February 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 both directions J10 to M62 - lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M62, from 8pm February 16 to 5am February 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 11 to 12 - lane closure for communications.

• M60, from 9pm February 20 to 6am March 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise J11 to J11 - carriageway closure for drainage.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
