Road closures: more than a dozen for Salford drivers this week

Drivers in and around Salford will have 18 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And 16 of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that 18 closures are due to start this week:

• M60, from 9pm October 31 to 6am November 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise j13 to j12 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

• M60, from 11pm October 31 to 5.30am November 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 9 to 12 lane closure and slip road closures due to general maintenance works.

• A556, from 8pm November 1 to 6am November 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M56 eastbound, junction 10 to junction 6 - carriageway closure for Electrical works.

• M60, from 9pm November 1 to 6am December 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A580 eastbound and westbound, M61 northbound and southbound, junction 1 to 3, M60 clockwise and Anticlockwise, junction 14 to 16 due to electrical works.

• M60, from 11pm November 1 to 5.30am November 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 10 - 12 lane closures and slip road closures due to maintenance works.

• M60, from 11pm November 2 to 5.30am November 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 10 to 12 lane closure and slip road closures due to general maintenance works.

• M60, from 9pm November 3 to 5am November 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 Anticlockwise, junction 12 to 10 lane closure and slip road closures due to general maintenance works.

• M60, from 9pm November 4 to 6am November 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise jct 13 - 15 lane closures and slip road closures due to electrical.

• M61, from 9pm November 4 to 5am November 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 northbound and southbound, junction 4 to junction 3 - lane closure for sweeping of carriageway.

• M60, from 8.30pm November 5 to 5am November 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 12 to junction 13 - carriageway closure for Horticulture.

• M60, from 11pm November 6 to 5am November 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 Anticlockwise, junction 15 - 12 lane one closure with, junction 13 exit and entry slip road closures due to general maintenance works.

• M60, from 9pm November 7 to 5am November 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise J11 to J11 - carriageway closure for drainage.

• M60, from 11pm November 7 to 5am November 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 13 to 16 lane closures and slip road closures due to general maintenance works.

• M60, from 11pm November 9 to 5.30am November 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 Anticlockwise, junction 16 to 13 lane closures and slip road closures due to general maintenance works.

• M60, from 11pm November 12 to 5am November 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 16 to junction 17 - carriageway closure for barrier/Fence Safety Repairs.

• M60, from 11pm November 13 to 5am November 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 17 to junction 16 - carriageway closure for Horticulture (Cutting and Planting).

• A556, from 8pm November 14 to 6am November 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M56 eastbound, junction 10 to junction 6 - carriageway closure for Electrical works.

• M60, from 11pm November 14 to 5am November 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 13 to junction 12 - Lane closure for Structure - maintenance.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
