Road closures: more than a dozen for Salford drivers this week

Drivers in and around Salford will have 18 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And 11 of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that six closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M60, from 9pm March 5 to 5.30am March 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M602 eastbound and westbound, junction 1 -3 lane closures and carriageway closures due to maintenance works.

• M61, from 9pm March 7 to 5am April 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A580 eastbound and westbound to M61 northbound, junction 1 - Lane closure for Electrical works.

• M60, from 9pm February 1 to 5am April 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 11 to 12, M602, junction 2 to 1, M60 clockwise and Anticlockwise, junction 11 to 13, - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

• M60, from 8pm March 21 to 5am April 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise J11 to J11 - carriageway closure for drainage.

• M60, from 9pm March 14 to 7am April 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 southbound, junction 3 - 0 lane closures and carriageway closure due to resurfacing.

• M60, from 8.30am July 24 2018 to 6am December 31 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A580 eastbound to M60 clockwise, lane two closed, due to safety.

And a further 12 closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M60, from 8pm March 28 to 6am March 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J11 to J9 - Lane closure for communications.

• M60, from 8.30pm March 28 to 5am March 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 12 to junction 13 - Lane closure for barrier/Fence Safety Repairs.

• M60, from 9pm March 31 to 5am April 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 12 - carriageway closure for barriers - Permanent.

• M60, from 8pm April 2 to 6am April 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 10 - 13 Lane closures due to electrical works.

• M60, from 8pm April 3 to 6am April 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J14 to J12 - carriageway closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

• M60, from 11pm April 3 to 6am April 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 northbound and southbound, Kearsley Spur to J3 - carriageway closure for Structure - maintenance.

• M61, from 8pm April 4 to 5am April 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 northbound, M60 to kearsley spur - Lane closure for Structure - maintenance.

• M60, from 8pm April 4 to 6am April 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J12 to J11 - Lane closure for communications.

• M60, from 9pm April 4 to 5am April 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A580 eastbound and westbound to M61 northbound, junction 1 - Lane closure for Electrical works.

• M60, from 8pm April 6 to 6am April 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 16 to junction 15 - Lane closure for Electrical works.

• M62, from 8pm April 7 to 6am April 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, J12 to J11 - Lane closure for Structure - maintenance.

• M60, from 9pm April 10 to 5am April 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and Anticlockwise, junction 9 to 13 lane closures and carriageway closure due to general maintenance works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
