Road closures: more than a dozen for Salford drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Salford will have 18 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And 10 of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that 18 closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• M60, from 8pm November 13 to 6am November 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 southbound, junction 2 to M60 clockwise - carriageway closure for electrical works.

• M602, from 10pm November 13 to 9pm November 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M602 eastbound, junction 2 to 3 Lane one closure due to works on A57.

• M61, from 8pm November 14 to 5am November 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 northbound, J3 to J4 - lane closure for communications.

• M60, from 11pm November 14 to 6am November 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise J9 to J11 - lane closure for construction - bridge/structure.

• M60, from 8pm November 15 to 6am November 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M602 both directions J1 to J3 - carriageway closure for structure - maintenance.

• M61, from 8.30pm November 16 to 5am November 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 northbound, junction 2 to junction 3 - lane closure for communications.

• M60, from 11pm November 17 to 6am November 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise J9 to J11 - lane closure for construction - bridge/structure.

• M60, from 11pm November 19 to 5am November 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 8 to junction 12 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

• M61, from 8pm November 20 to 6am November 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A580 westbound to M61 northbound, - lane closure for communications.

• M60, from 8pm November 20 to 6am November 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A580 eastbound to M60 clockwise - carriageway closure for electrical work.

• M60, from 8pm November 21 to 5am November 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 Anticlockwise, junction 13 exit slip road Lane two closure due to works on Worsley Brow Roundabout for Salford Council.

• M60, from 11pm November 21 to 5am November 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 13 to junction 9 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

• M60, from 11pm November 23 to 5am November 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anticlockwise jct nine - 14 lane closures and carriageway closures due to maintenance works.

• M60, from 11pm November 24 to 5am November 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anticlockwise jct 12 - 14 lane closures and carriageway closures due to maintenance works.

• M60, from 11pm November 25 to 5am November 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 9 to junction 15 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

• M60, from 11pm November 26 to 5am November 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 15 to junction 13 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

• M60, from 8.30pm November 27 to 5am November 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 14 to junction 17 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

• M60, from 11pm November 27 to 6am November 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise J9 to J11 - lane closure for construction - bridge/structure.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
