Road closures: more than a dozen for Salford drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Salford will have 16 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And 10 of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M60, from 9pm June 18 to 5am June 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 11 to junction 10 - carriageway closure for drainage.

• M60, from 9pm April 11 to 6am July 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 both directions M60 to M61 J3 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

• M60, from 8pm June 5 to 6am July 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A580 eastbound to M60 clockwise - carriageway closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.

And a further 13 closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M62, from 9pm June 20 to 5am June 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 10 to junction 12 - Lane closure for drainage.

• M62, from 9pm June 21 to 5am June 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 11 -12 lane closures for drainage.

• M62, from 9pm June 22 to 5am June 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 12 to junction 11 - Lane closure for drainage.

• M62, from 9pm June 23 to 5am June 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 11 - 12 - Lane closures for drainage.

• M60, from 11.59pm June 23 to 5am June 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J16 to J16 - carriageway closure for electrical works.

• M60, from 9pm June 24 to 5am June 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 11 to junction 12 - Lane closure for drainage.

• M60, from 10pm June 24 to 6am June 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J13 to J10 - lane closure for construction - bridge/structure.

• M61, from 10pm June 24 to 10am June 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61, junction 3 - A666 northbound and southbound, carriageway closure due to maintenance works.

• M60, from 9pm June 25 to 5am June 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 12 to junction 11 - carriageway closure for drainage.

• M60, from 9pm June 26 to 6am July 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anticlockwise jct 11 entry slip road closure due to drainage works.

• M602, from 9pm June 27 to 5am June 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 11 - 12 lane closures due to maintenance works.

• M62, from 8pm July 3 to 5am July 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, 12 to 11 - lane closure for construction improvement/upgrade.

• M6, from 8.30pm July 3 to 5am July 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 10 - 11 - carriageway closure for communications on behalf of National Highways.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
