Road closures: four for Salford drivers over the next fortnight
Drivers in and around Salford will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

Hide AdThe latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• M60, from 8pm December 8 to 6am December 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J15 to J14 - carriageway closure for electrical works.
• M60, from 8pm December 11 2023 to 6am February 24 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M602 both directions, junction 1 to junction 3 - carriageway closure for signs - erection.
And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:

Hide Ad• M60, from 8pm December 18 to 6am December 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 southbound, junction 2 to M60 clockwise - carriageway closure for electrical works.
• M62, from 9pm December 18 to 5am December 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, 11 to 12 - lane closure for barriers - temporary on behalf of National Highways.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
