Road closures: eight for Salford drivers this week

Drivers in and around Salford will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Salford will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And five of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M60, from 9pm April 1 to 5am April 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 16 to junction 15 - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

M60, from 8.30pm April 1 to 5.30am April 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M602 eastbound and westbound, junction 1 - three lane closures and carriageway closures due to maintenance works.

And a further six closures will begin over the next seven days:

M62, from 9pm April 4 to 5am April 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 12 to junction 11 - lane closure for electrical works.

M61, from 9pm April 4 to 5am May 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 southbound, J4 to J3 - lane closure for signs - erection.

M60, from 8pm April 11 to 6am April 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 southbound, J4 to J2 - carriageway closure for communications.

M60, from 9pm April 11 to 6am May 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 both directions M60 to M61 J3 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

M60, from 9pm April 17 to 5am April 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 14 to junction15 - carriageway closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

M60, from 9pm April 17 to 5am April 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M602 westbound, junction 3 - one Lane and carriageway closure for signs erection.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
