Road closures: almost two dozen for Salford drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Salford will have 22 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And 15 of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M60, from 9pm September 9 to 5am September 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 northbound and southbound, jct one to 2 - carriageway closure for Horticulture.

• M60, from 9pm September 10 to 5am September 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 13 to junction 9 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

• M602, from 9pm August 20 to 5am September 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M602 westbound, Total closure, junction 3 to, junction 2 - carriageway closure for electrical works.

And a further 19 closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M602, from 8pm September 11 to 5am September 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M602 eastbound and westbound, jct one - three lane closures due to maintenance.

• M60, from 8pm September 11 to 6am September 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J13 to J10 - lane closure for construction - bridge/structure.

• M61, from 9pm September 11 to 5am September 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 southbound, J5 to J3 - carriageway closure for white lining/road markings.

• M60, from 8pm September 15 to 6am September 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise J9 to J11 - lane closure for construction - bridge/structure.

• M60, from 8pm September 16 to 6am September 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions J13 to J13 - carriageway closure for electrical works.

• M61, from 9pm September 17 to 6am September 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 northbound and southbound, junction 2 - four lane closures due to maintenance works.

• M60, from 8pm September 18 to 6am September 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J13 to J10 - lane closure for construction - bridge/structure.

• M602, from 8pm September 18 to 5am September 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M602 eastbound and westbound, jct one - three lane closures due to maintenance.

• M60, from 9pm September 18 to 6am September 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 southbound, J3 to M60/A580 - carriageway closure for electrical works.

• M60, from 8pm September 19 to 6am September 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise J9 to J11 - lane closure for construction - bridge/structure.

• M60, from 8pm September 19 to 5am September 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M602 both directions, junction 1 to 2 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

• M60, from 8pm September 20 to 5am September 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M602 both directions, junction 2 to 1 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

• M60, from 8pm September 21 to 6am September 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J13 to J10 - lane closure for construction - bridge/structure.

• M602, from 8pm September 21 to 5am September 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M602 both directions, junction 2 to junction 3 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

• M60, from 8pm September 22 to 5am September 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J15 to J14 - lane closure for communications.

• M602, from 9pm September 22 to 5am September 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M602 westbound, junction 3 to junction 2 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

• M60, from 8pm September 23 to 6am September 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions J17 to J16 - carriageway closure for electrical works.

• M60, from 8pm September 25 to 5am September 26, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise J12 to J12 - carriageway closure for structure - new/reconstruction.

• M60, from 9pm September 25 to 5am September 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 14 to junction 13 - lane closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
