Road closures: almost a dozen for Salford drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Salford will have 11 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And four of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M60, from 8pm October 8 to 6am October 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 both directions J13 to J17 - lane closure for electrical works.

And a further 10 closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M60, from 8pm to 11pm on October 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 Anticlockwise, junction 13 exit slip road Lane one closure due to works on Worsley Brow/Barton Road.

• M60, from 9pm October 11 to 5am October 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise J16 to J16 - lane closure for horticulture.

• M61, from 8pm October 12 to 5am October 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 southbound, J3 to J1 - lane closure for structure - maintenance.

• M60, from 9pm October 13 to 5am October 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 13 to junction 9 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

• M61, from 10pm October 14 to 10am October 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61, junction 3 - A666 northbound and southbound, carriageway closure due to maintenance works.

• M61, from 9pm October 17 to 5am October 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 southbound, junction 2 to junction 1 - lane closure for drainage.

• M60, from 8pm October 19 to 5am October 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise J14 entry - carriageway closure for structure - maintenance.

• M60, from 8pm October 20 to 6am October 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 both directions J1 to J3 - lane closure for structure - maintenance on behalf of National Highways.

• M60, from 8pm October 22 to 6am October 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 both directions J13 to J17 - lane closure for electrical works.

• M60, from 8pm October 23 to 6am October 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J13 to J10 - lane closure for construction - bridge/structure.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
