New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Salford’s pubs, bars or nightclubs, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

Dukes Gate, at Dukes Gate Hotel, Cleggs Lane, Little Hulton was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on August 31.

And Little Hulton Conservative Club, at 1a Armitage Avenue, Little Hulton, Salford was also given a score of five on August 31.

It means that of Salford's 173 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 134 (77%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
