Rochdale road closures: six for motorists to avoid this week

Rochdale's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A627(M), from 9pm October 1 to 6am November 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M northbound and southbound, j2 to A664 - carriageway closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

• M60, from 8pm March 14 to 5am November 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 18 - 21 Lane closures for barrier Scheme works.

• M62, from 9pm February 16 2021 to 6am November 30 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62, junction 19 eastbound, exit slip Lane one closed due to construction of a new road.

And a further three closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M62, from 8.30pm October 22 to 5am October 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 20 to junction 22 - carriageway closure for communications.

• M62, from 8.30pm October 23 to 5am October 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 18 to junction 19 - Lane closure for communications.

• M62, from 9pm October 27 to 6am October 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 23 to junction 22, Lane closure for carriageway repairs.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
