Rochdale's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Rochdale's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M66, from 9pm January 14 to 5am January 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 both directions junction4 to junction2 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

And a further six closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A627(M), from 8pm January 15 to 6am February 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 both directions J19 to J21 - carriageway closure for horticulture (cutting and planting) on behalf of National Highways.

A627(M), from 9pm January 15 to 5am January 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M northbound, link road to Edinburgh Way closure due to works on the verge.

M62, from 9pm January 20 to 5am January 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 both directions, junction 19 to junction 21 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

M60, from 9pm January 22 to 5am January 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J20 to J19 - lane closures and slip road closure for drainage on behalf of National Highways.

A627(M), from 8pm January 25 to 5am January 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A627M southbound, junction 4 to junction 3 - lane closure for litter clearance on behalf of National Highways.

M66, from 9pm January 29 to 5am February 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 northbound, junction4 to junction 1 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
