Rochdale road closures: nine for motorists to avoid this week

Rochdale's motorists will have nine road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• A627(M), from 9pm January 16 to 6am April 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 21 - 22 lane closures due to resurfacing schemes.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A627(M), from 8.30pm March 20 to 5am March 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A627M northbound and southbound, J3 to J4 M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 19 - 20- lane closure for electrical works.

• A627(M), from 9pm March 20 to 6am March 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 19 - 22 lane closures and slip road closures due to improvements.

• A627(M), from 9.30am March 23 to 3.30pm March 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A627M From, junction A664 West of Kirkholt lane closure due to works for TfGM.

• M62, from 9pm March 23 to 5am March 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 21 to junction 22 - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

• M62, from 9pm March 27 to 5am March 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, J21 to J23 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

• A627(M), from 9pm March 27 to 6am April 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 19 - 22 lane closures and slip road closures due to improvements.

• M60, from 9pm March 29 to 5am March 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anticlockwise, junction 20 to 19 - lane closure for structure - maintenance.

• A627(M), from 9pm April 3 to 6am April 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 19 - 22 lane closures and slip road closures due to improvements.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
