Rochdale road closures: more than a dozen for motorists to avoid this week

Rochdale's motorists will have 14 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And eight of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that six closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M62, from 9pm February 4 to 5am February 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 20 to junction 22 - Lane closure for communications.

• M60, from 8pm January 26 to 6am February 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise J19 to J19 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

• M66, from 8pm January 24 to 6am February 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 southbound, J1 to J1 - lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M62, from 9pm January 24 to 6am February 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 21 to junction 22, Lane closure for carriageway repair.

• A627(M), from 9pm January 16 to 7am February 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 21 - 22 lane closures due to resurfacing schemes.

• M66, from 8pm February 1 to 6am February 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 southbound, J1 to J2 - lane closure for inspection/survey.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M60, from 8pm February 6 to 6am February 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J20 to J20 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

• M62, from 9pm February 7 to 5am February 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 20 to junction 22 - Lane closure for communications.

• A627(M), from 9pm February 8 to 7am February 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M northbound and southbound, j2 to A664 - M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 19 - 21 lane closures and carriageway closures - Reconstruction/Renewal.

• M62, from 9pm February 10 to 6am February 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 22 - 20 lane closures and slip road closures due to maintenance works.

• M62, from 9pm February 13 to 5am February 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 20 to junction 22 - carriageway closure for communications.

• M62, from 9pm February 16 to 5.30am February 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 20 to 22 lane closures and slip road closure due to general maintenance works.

• M62, from 9pm February 16 to 5am February 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, , junction 18 - 20 Lane closures and closure of slips due to general maintenance works.

• A627(M), from 9pm February 18 to 5am February 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 20 to 19 lane closures and slip road closures due to general maintenance works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
