Rochdale road closures: more than a dozen for motorists to avoid this week

Rochdale's motorists will have 14 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And five of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M62, from 9pm January 16 to 6am January 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 19 - 22 lane closures due to improvements.

• A627(M), from 9pm January 16 to 7am February 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 21 - 22 lane closures due to resurfacing schemes.

And a further 12 closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M62, from 9pm January 23 to 6am January 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 19 - 22 lane closures due to improvements.

• M66, from 8pm January 24 to 6am February 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 southbound, J1 to J1 - lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M62, from 9pm January 24 to 6am January 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 21 to junction 22, Lane closure for carriageway repair.

• M60, from 8pm January 26 to 6am February 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise J19 to J19 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

• M62, from 8pm January 30 to 6am February 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, J21 to J23 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

• A627(M), from 9pm January 30 to 6am February 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 19 - 22 lane closures due to improvements.

• M60, from 8.30pm January 31 to 5am February 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 18 to junction 19 - Lane closure for communications.

• M66, from 8pm February 1 to 6am February 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 southbound, J1 to J2 - lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M62, from 8.30pm February 2 to 5am February 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 18 to junction 20 - Lane closure for communications.

• M62, from 9pm February 3 to 6am February 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 23 to junction 22, Lane closures for sign works.

• M62, from 9pm February 4 to 5am February 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 20 to junction 22 - Lane closure for communications.

• M60, from 8pm February 6 to 6am February 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J20 to J20 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
