Rochdale road closures: more than a dozen for motorists to avoid this week

Rochdale's motorists will have 13 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And eight of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A627(M), from 8.30pm December 3 to 5am December 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M both directions, junction 2 to junction 3 - carriageway closure for barriers.

• A627(M), from 9pm November 28 to 6am December 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 19 - 22 lane closures due to improvements.

• M60, from 8pm March 14 to 5am December 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 18 - 21 Lane closures for barrier Scheme works.

• A627(M), from 9pm November 1 to 6am December 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M northbound and southbound, j2 to A664 - carriageway closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

• A627(M), from 8pm November 28 2022 to 6am January 23 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise M66 to J25 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A627(M), from 9pm December 5 to 6am December 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 19 to 20, A627M, junction 2, lane closures due to communication works.

• M62, from 9pm December 5 to 6am December 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 19 - 22 lane closures due to improvements.

• M62, from 9pm December 5 to 5am December 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 22, slip road closure for technology works, diversion route via national highways and local authority network.

• M60, from 8pm December 6 to 6am December 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J20 to J18 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M62, from 9pm December 12 to 6am December 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, jct 21 to jct 19 - lane closures for electrical works.

• M62, from 8pm December 16 to 6am December 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 22, Lane closure for sign works.

• M66, from 9pm December 18 to 5am December 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound and southbound, junction 4 - two lane closure carriageway closure due to maintenance works.

• M60, from 9pm December 19 to 5am December 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 southbound, junction 1 to junction 3 - carriageway closure for Horticulture (Cutting and Planting).

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
