Rochdale road closures: more than a dozen for motorists to avoid this week

Rochdale's motorists will have 16 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And nine of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that six closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A627(M), from 8.30pm August 28 to 5am August 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A627M northbound and southbound, junction 2 to junction 3 - carriageway closure for barrier/Fence Safety Repairs.

• A627(M), from 9pm July 4 to 6am September 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M northbound and southbound, j2 to A664 - carriageway closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

• M62, from 8pm August 1 to 5am September 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, j21 to j20 - Lane closure for drainage.

• A627(M), from 8pm July 9 to 6am September 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, j20 to j21 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

• M60, from 5am March 12 to 5am October 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 20 - 21 Permanent narrow lanes due to barrier works.

• M62, from 9pm February 16 2021 to 6am November 30 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62, junction 19 eastbound, exit slip Lane one closed due to construction of a new road.

And a further 10 closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M62, from 9pm August 30 to 5am September 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 20 to junction 18 - carriageway closure for communications.

• M62, from 9pm August 30 to 5am September 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 19 to 21 lane closures and slip road closures due to general maintenance works.

• M66, from 9pm August 30 to 5am September 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound and southbound, j3 to j2 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

• M62, from 8pm August 31 to 6am September 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 21 to junction 23, Lane closures for inspection works.

• M62, from 8pm September 1 to 6am October 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, J18 to J21 - Lane closure for Construction - Bridge/Structure.

• A627(M), from 8.30pm September 2 to 5am September 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M northbound and southbound, junction 2 to junction 2 - carriageway closure for barrier/Fence Safety Repairs.

• M62, from 9pm September 2 to 5.30am September 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 20 to 22 lane closures and slip road closure due to general maintenance works.

• M62, from 9pm September 2 to 5am September 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, , junction 18 - 20 Lane closures and closure of slips due to general maintenance works.

• A627(M), from 9pm September 4 to 5am September 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 20 to 19 lane closures and slip road closures due to general maintenance works.

• M62, from 8pm September 6 to 6am September 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, J18 to J20 - Lane closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
