Rochdale road closures: more than a dozen for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Rochdale's motorists will have 13 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And six of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that six closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M62, from 9pm July 23 to 5am July 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 23 to junction 22, Lane closure for barrier repairs.

• A627(M), from 9pm July 17 to 6am July 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 19 - 22 - A627(M) northbound, jct two - three lane closures and slip road closure due to improvements.

• A627(M), from 9pm July 17 to 6am July 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 19 - 22 - A627(M) northbound, jct two - three lane closures and slip road closure due to improvements.

• M62, from 3am May 9 to 11pm July 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 19 exit slip road Lane closure due to works on Airbourne Way.

• A627(M), from 9pm July 1 to 5am August 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M northbound, junction 2 - carriageway closure for carriageway- reconstruction/renewal.

• M60, from 8.30pm July 17 to 5am August 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 18 to junction 21 - lane closure for drainage.

And a further seven closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A627(M), from 8am July 24 to 6am July 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A627M both directions Rochdale to junction 2 - lane closure for horticulture.

• A627(M), from 9pm July 24 to 6am July 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 19 - 22 - A627(M) northbound, jct two - three lane closures and slip road closure due to improvements.

• M62, from 9pm July 31 to 5am August 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 21 to junction 23, Lane closure for sign erection.

• M62, from 11pm July 31 to 5am August 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 19 to 20 lane closures due inspections.

• M62, from 9pm August 2 to 5am August 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, J21 to J21 - carriageway closure for communications.

• M62, from 8pm August 7 to 5am August 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 21 to junction 22 - lane closure for signs - erection.

• A627(M), from 9pm August 7 to 6am August 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 20 to 22 lane closures and carriageway closures due to resurfacing.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
