Rochdale road closures: five for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Rochdale's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And four of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• M60, from 8pm January 10 to 6am January 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions J18 to J20 - carriageway closure for structure - maintenance.

• M62, from 9pm January 11 to 5am January 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 both directions, junction 21 to junction 22 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

• A627(M), from 8pm January 15 to 6am February 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 both directions J19 to J21 - carriageway closure for horticulture (cutting and planting) on behalf of National Highways.

• A627(M), from 9pm January 15 to 5am January 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M northbound, link road to Edinburgh Way closure due to works on the verge.

• M60, from 9pm January 22 to 5am January 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J20 to J19 - lane closures and slip road closure for drainage on behalf of National Highways.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
