Rochdale road closures: eight for motorists to avoid this week

Rochdale's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Rochdale's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And four of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M62, from 9pm December 5 to 6am December 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 19 - 22 lane closures due to improvements.

M60, from 8pm March 14 to 5am December 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 18 - 21 Lane closures for barrier Scheme works.

A627(M), from 9pm November 1 to 6am December 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M northbound and southbound, j2 to A664 - carriageway closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

A627(M), from 8pm November 28 2022 to 6am January 23 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise M66 to J25 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

M62, from 9pm December 12 to 6am December 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, jct 21 to jct 19 - lane closures for resurfacing.

M62, from 8pm December 16 to 6am December 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 22, Lane closure for sign works.

M66, from 9pm December 18 to 5am December 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound and southbound, junction 4 - two lane closure carriageway closure due to maintenance works.

M60, from 9pm December 19 to 5am December 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 southbound, junction 1 to junction 3 - carriageway closure for Horticulture (Cutting and Planting).

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
