Rochdale road closures: almost a dozen for motorists to avoid this week

Rochdale's motorists will have 10 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And eight of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A627(M), from 9pm March 27 to 6am April 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 19 - 22 lane closures and slip road closures due to improvements.

• M60, from 9pm March 27 to 6am April 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise jct 16 - 18 - M66 southbound, jct three - four - M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 18 - 20 lane closures and slip road closures due to improvements.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A627(M), from 9pm April 3 to 6am April 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 19 - 22 lane closures and slip road closures due to improvements.

• A627(M), from 9pm April 10 to 6am April 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 19 - 22 lane closures and slip road closures due to improvements.

• M62, from 9.30am April 11 to 6am June 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 19 exit slip road Lane closure due to works on Airbourne Way.

• M62, from 8pm April 11 to 5am April 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, J18 to J19 lane closure for communication works.

• A627(M), from 8pm April 11 to 6am April 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M both directions A663 to Rochdale Bypass - carriageway closure for communication works.

• A627(M), from 9pm April 12 to 5am April 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M North and southbound, junction 1 - four carriageway closure due reconstruction works.

• A627(M), from 9pm April 15 to 5am April 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 21 to junction 22 - carriageway closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.

• A627(M), from 9pm April 17 to 6am April 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 19 - 22 lane closures and slip road closures due to improvements.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
