Rochdale road closures: almost a dozen for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Rochdale's motorists will have 10 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M62, from 9pm January 20 to 5am January 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 both directions, junction 19 to junction 21 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

• A627(M), from 8pm January 15 to 6am February 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 both directions J19 to J21 - carriageway closure for horticulture (cutting and planting) on behalf of National Highways.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M60, from 9pm January 22 to 5am January 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J20 to J19 - lane closures and slip road closure for drainage on behalf of National Highways.

• A627(M), from 9.30am to 3.30pm on January 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A627(M) northbound, jct one and two entry slip road lane closures due to litter.

• M62, from 9pm January 23 to 5am January 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 22 to junction 23, Lane closure for barrier repairs.

• A627(M), from 8pm January 25 to 5am January 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A627M southbound, junction 4 to junction 3 - lane closure for litter clearance on behalf of National Highways.

• M66, from 9pm January 29 to 5am February 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 northbound, junction4 to junction 1 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

• M62, from 9pm January 29 to 5am January 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 23 to junction 22, Lane closure for barrier repair.

• M60, from 8pm January 31 to 6am February 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J21 to J21 - lane closure for structure - maintenance.

• M60, from 8pm January 31 to 6am February 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise J18 to J21 - carriageway closure for structure - maintenance.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
