Rochdale road closures: almost a dozen for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Rochdale's motorists will have 11 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M62, from 3am May 9 to 11pm August 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 19 exit slip road Lane closure due to works on Airbourne Way.

And a further 10 closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M62, from 8pm August 7 to 5am August 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 21 to junction 22 - lane closure for signs - erection.

• M66, from 9pm August 7 to 3am August 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 northbound and southbound, junction 2 lane closures due to maintenance works.

• A627(M), from 9pm August 7 to 6am September 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 20 to 22 lane closures and carriageway closures due to resurfacing.

• M62, from 9pm August 8 to 5am August 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 23 to junction 22, Lane closure for barrier repairs.

• M62, from 9pm August 9 to 5am August 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 21 to junction 20 - lane closure for electrical works.

• A627(M), from 9pm August 14 to 6am August 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, jct 22 to 20 lane closures and slip road closures due to improvements.

• M60, from 9pm August 16 to 5am August 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, J18 to J19 - lane closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.

• M62, from 8pm August 17 to 5am August 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, J18 to J20 - lane closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.

• M60, from 9pm August 20 to 5am August 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anticlockwise jct 18 - 21 lane closures and carriageway closure due to maintenance works.

• M62, from 9pm August 21 to 5am August 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, J19 to J18 - lane closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
