Rochdale road closures: almost a dozen for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Rochdale's motorists will have 10 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And seven of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M60, from 9pm May 2 to 6am June 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anticlockwise jct 19 - 18 lane closures and slip road closures due to drainage.

• M62, from 3am May 9 to 11pm July 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 19 exit slip road Lane closure due to works on Airbourne Way.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M62, from 8.30pm May 30 to 5am June 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 20 to 22 - lane closure for communications.

• M66, from 9pm May 31 to 5am June 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound and southbound, jct three - two lane closures and carriageway closures due to maintenance works.

• M60, from 9pm June 3 to 5am June 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound and southbound, jct four - two lane closures and carriageway closures due to maintenance.

• A663, from 8pm June 5 to 6am June 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 18 to 21 - carriageway closures for electrical works.

• M62, from 9pm June 5 to 6am June 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 both directions J21 to J22 - lane closure for white lining/road markings on behalf of National Highways.

• A627(M), from 9pm June 6 to 6am June 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, jct 18 - 20 lane closures due to improvements.

• M62, from 9pm June 7 to 5am June 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, , junction 18 - 20 Lane closures and closure of slips due to general maintenance works.

• A627(M), from 9pm June 9 to 6am June 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 20 to 19 lane closures and slip road closures due to general maintenance works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
